First dates can be awkward enough.
And then, you ask a dumb question.
Duh!
To avoid such a pitfall, heed the advice of dating expert P.J. Osgood, Chicago director for It's Just Lunch, which bills itself as a matchmaking/dating service for single "busy professionals."
Osgood says avoid these questions on a first date:
* So where do you see this going?
* Do you like my dress?
* How many lovers have you had?
Here are some uncomfortable questions I came up with.
* You've had that mole checked out, haven't you?
* Let's cut to the chase — how can I turn you on?
* What's your biggest upside?
Osgood, in a press release, says it's a good idea to stick to neutral topics on a first date.
Ah, but it can be tricky avoiding those verbal land mines.
